GOD
God is the sovereign creator of all things, including us. So, He has the right to be worshipped and to tell us how to live. God is merciful and loving: He gave us life, the world we can live in, and His will toward our lives, but He is holy and righteous: He disapproves of sins- willful disobedience to His will, and never ignores or tolerates them.
US
Human beings are created in God’s image to love Him and to live in fellowship with Him. However, we all have rejected God’s rule over our lives and rebelled against Him by living in disobedience. And the spiritual consequence of it is separation from God, us being under God’s judgment, and we are unable to save ourselves.
JESUS CHRIST
The name “Jesus” means God saves. God, out of His great love for us, sent His Son, Jesus, to save us from our sins and reconcile us to Himself. Jesus died on the cross in our place to take away our sins and its curse, and He rose again from the dead to offer us righteousness and blessings. He opened a way for us to be made right with God.
RESPONSE
This message of God’s love demands a response from us. If you want to receive God’s offer of forgiveness and a new life as His children, you must repent and believe. To repent means to turn away from your rebellion against God. You confess your sins to God and decide in your heart to leave the life of disobedience and start to live a life of obedience. And you must believe that Jesus is the Son of God who died for you and rose again from the dead and accept Him into your heart and life as your Savior and Lord.
